Down to floor and frame

Roof off and more tear down.

Previous owner thought they were going to rebuild.

They sort of got started with some plywood pieces in spots.

New design for a Scotty

Scotty campers were built with only plywood for the walls.

I wanted to do something different. So I decided to frame it with 1x's similar to the way other brands were built.

I built it on top of the existing wall......kept me from crawling around on the floor......my back and knees thank me every day.

I had to come up with a way of finding the edge of the wall.....NOT the edge of the roof.

Well....I used 1/8" gas welding rod stapled right at the seam and with a couple of taps with a dead blow hammer on the 1x laying on it.....the rod makes a mark where the edge of wall should be.

Rear redesign

I am going to redesign the back half so we can have a full size mattress in place of the goucho couch/bed.

Adding about 7"to rear
